Where will you stay?
Wells Cathedral School offers excellent boarding accommodation. The students stay in purpose built boarding houses, staffed by our experienced team led by experienced Housemistresses and Matron.
The students share rooms in small groups 2-4
All meals and additional snacks and drinks are provided on site. We all go to the dining room for 3 meals per day, where the kids are also registered. Other snacks are provided throughout the course of the day at break times by matron
Getting to Wells and home again
On the first morning of the course, we run coaches to Wells Cathedral School from Heathrow Airport and from London King's Cross. Coach travel is included in the course fee, and almost all of our students travel this way, so no one arrives alone.
At the end of the week, everyone travels back to London together by coach for the final concert at St James's Piccadilly. UK-based parents collect their children from the concert.
Students travelling home from overseas stay that night at Imperial College London, beside the Royal College of Music, and the next morning we take them to Heathrow by coach or taxi. The overnight stay and airport transfer are included in the fee; if your child has any special travel requirements, let us know and we'll make arrangements.
Parents may also book rooms at Imperial College if they need to, before departing for the airport.
Parents are very welcome on our courses. There are a range of masterclasses and concerts every day which supporters are encouraged to attend. At other times we ask that the students be left to work amongst themselves.
Wells has a range of accommodation and we are happy to offer advice to parents wishing to book, or to make bookings on your behalf.
There is a good range of Hotel and Airbnb accommodation in the city. Hotels are plentiful and there is choice. The best Airbnb’s will be very popular and early booking is recommended.
