Angel Lee - Artistic Consultant (Asia)
Angel Lee is a visionary musician and educator whose work has been instrumental in transforming Malaysia’s classical music landscape. Beginning violin studies as a child, she became the youngest student at the Malaysian Institute of Art at 14, and by 20 had earned a Bachelor of Music with Honours from the University of Melbourne. She also holds numerous international music diplomas, including FTCL, LTCL, LRSM, LMusA, AMusA, and ATCL.
As an educator, Angel has taught at Universiti Malaya, the Malaysian Institute of Art, and ASWARA. At 28, she became one of the youngest Trinity College London examiners and now serves as an adjudicator at competitions across the region.
In 2012, Angel founded the Euroasia Association of Performing Arts, a non-profit dedicated to nurturing young talent in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. Under her leadership, Euroasia has launched signature competitions—including the Euroasia Strings Competition, Malaysian Piano Competition, and Euroasia Youth Music Festival—propelling participants to elite orchestras, prestigious schools, and global stages. Complementing these are extensive outreach initiatives, workshops, masterclasses, and performance programmes that ensure access to high-quality musical training for students of all backgrounds.
Angel’s contributions have been widely recognised: she was named one of JCI Malaysia’s Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians (2022) and awarded royal distinctions by the Negeri Sembilan royal family—the Setiawan Tuanku Muhriz (STM) in 2014 and the Darjah Tuanku Muhriz (DTM) in January 2025.
