Eloise studied at the Royal Academy of Music, where she completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate training. She enjoys a busy freelance career, performing with orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Welsh National Opera, Opera North and the London Contemporary Orchestra. Her recording work includes the soundtrack for The Matrix Resurrections and a John Lewis Christmas advertisement with Bastille.

A committed advocate for new music, Eloise regularly commissions and premieres solo and chamber works for the double bass.

Eloise has been Double Bass Tutor at Junior Guildhall since 2018 and teaches players from the age of five through to conservatoire level. Her pupils have won places and scholarships at the leading UK conservatoires and play in ensembles such as the National Children’s Orchestra and the London Schools Symphony Orchestra. She is the director of London Basses, a series of inclusive workshops for bass players of all ages and abilities, and has led education projects for the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, English National Opera, the English Chamber Orchestra and Spitalfields Music.
